Food Safety and Quality, Nofima
Helga Næs has a Ph.D from the University of Oslo (1988). From 1988 to 1992, Næs had a research position at the Meat cooperation of Norway working on lactic acid bacteria, gene-technology and fermentation. From 1993 Næs has had different positions at Matforsk/Nofima (Norwegian Institute of Food, Fisheries and Aquaculture Research). She is now Research Director of the Food Safety and quality department at Nofima. In 2003-2004 she studied leadership at Sloan Business School, MIT, Boston, Massachusetts, USA and completed Master of management at BI Norwegian Business School in 2015.
Main competence is on pathogenic microorganisms, advantage of lactic acid bacteria, bio-/genetechnology, packaging and shelf life.
