Biography

Kiran P. Prayagi, FSDC, FISLE, is post-graduate from the London College of Printing, London, U. K. His post-graduation study in Colour Reproduction and Quality Control. Also studied Colour Measurement, Photography, Marketing, etc. while at the London College of Printing. Postgraduate International Training course for special teachers jointly organised by VDMA, PrintPromotion and AZP Chemnitz in Germany. A special recognition by the Society of Dyers’ and Colourists, U. K. for colour expertise and the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal University, India for service to the printing and graphic arts industry. Professional member of various associations connected with the printing and graphic arts industry in India and overseas. Working experience includes four years in Print Production out of which two years were in the U. K. Worked with various multinational organisations in responsible positions. Visiting professor at many of the printing, packaging, and graphic arts colleges and universities in India. Speaker at many of the international and national conferences and seminars and author of many articles in the trade journals. Co-authored a book on Colour Science that is published by Woodhead Publishing, U. K. Judge on many of the packaging, printing, and print related competitions. in India. For the last over 27 years running a technical and management consultancy for the printing and graphic arts. Joint venture with the world leading printing research university ‘pmTUC’ at Chemnitz University of Technology, Chemnitz, Germany under the name ‘pmIndia’ for printing consultancy and educational services. Travelled widely throughout the world.
